Predictions

As Asimov does in many of his science fiction writings, make some predictions about the future:
  • What will computers be able to do in 30 years' time?
  • How will people meet new people /a couple in 30 years' time?
You may find the following language useful:

In 30 years time/ by the year 2040 people/computers:
  • May/might
  • Won't probably/ probably won't/ definitely won't/ will be ...
  • Are going to ...
  • Are/ aren't likely to...

" In 30 years' time we won't be using keyboards and mice and we'll live inside a partially digital world. we'll only need a screen and our voices. "
" We'll probably be meeting people in virtual spaces using Avatars" It sounds really gripping !

By the year 2040 people definitely won´t use the computers because they won´t exist. In this time the mobile will have taken up the space of the computers.
I´m sure everything will depend on our phone and look for a new friend or partner only will be possible with our personal mobile.
Lastly, I think we are going to impersonal age.

Lastly, I think we are going to impersonal age.

in 30 years Internet will be a big database with millions of registers about us, wich could be analysed to offer us the best couple according to our habits, the best city to live, etc.
Most of people will work in their house for companies placed in other countries.
The houses will be intelligent,
we´ll be able to switch off the lights by mobile. The education will be online, bidirectional, between a teacher and his students .

In 30 years' time computers and electronical devices are going to change our lifes. There might be two different worlds, a virtual one and another real world, like ours now. But I don' t think people will meet friendship or love with a computer or Internet because love and friendship always have to meet you.
